Be Prepared. Be CPR Aware.


This October, CRITICAL is turning one day of CPR awareness into a full month of action.
Through our Be Prepared. Be CPR Aware. campaign, we want to help more people across Ireland feel prepared to act when someone suffers a cardiac arrest or medical emergency.

Throughout October, we hope to:

  • Raise awareness of CPR and the importance of acting quickly.
  • Bring CPR into communities through demonstrations and local events.
  • Build confidence to act in a cardiac emergency.
  • Share practical information, including knowing your Eircode.
  • Highlight CRITICAL’s volunteer responders and their lifesaving work.
  • Raise vital funds to support CRITICAL’s services across Ireland.

A Small Magnet That Could Make a Big Difference

As part of the campaign, we have created a special Be Prepared. Be CPR Aware. fridge magnet designed to keep important information visible when you might need it most.

The magnet includes a space to write in your home Eircode, so it is easy to find and read out during an emergency. Simply fill in your Eircode and place the magnet somewhere visible on your fridge.

In a stressful situation, remembering or searching for your Eircode may be the last thing on your mind. Having it clearly displayed means you or someone else in your home can quickly provide your location when calling 999 or 112.

Get Your CPR Awareness Magnet

Throughout October, supporters who donate to the Be Prepared. Be CPR Aware. campaign can receive one of our CPR awareness fridge magnets.

Every donation will support CRITICAL and our network of volunteer emergency medical responders and Community First Responders, helping us continue providing life-saving pre-hospital emergency care in communities across Ireland.
