We are looking for a Donor Care Officer who will provide donor care, support administrative tasks,
and assist with fundraising activities. The role involves entering data, maintaining records, and
contributing to the fundraising team’s efforts.

About CRITICAL:

CRITICAL is the largest Volunteer Emergency Medical Response charity in Ireland. It provides pre-
hospital emergency care to critically ill and injured patients in rural and urban areas across the
country.

Founded in 2009 as Irish Community Rapid Response, CRITICAL now has a growing network of
volunteer responders operating in 20 counties in cities, towns, and villages. With over 100 medical
responders, including emergency medical technicians (EMTs), paramedics, consultants, and other
qualified medical professionals, CRITICAL works in partnership with the National Ambulance Service
(NAS) and responds to life-threatening emergencies.

CRITICAL envisions an Ireland where communities and those living in it have equal opportunities to
receive a rapid medical response in the event of a medical emergency, injury, accident, or trauma.

The Role:

The Donor Care Officer position is a vital role within the CRITICAL team. This individual will serve as
the first point of contact for supporter inquiries, information, and donor care. Responsibilities include
recording both physical and online donations into the charity’s CRM system.

Salary: €30,000 to €35,000

Key Responsibilities:

    • A courteous and understanding phone manner and the ability to handle email queries in a
      timely manner are essential. The Donor Care Officer will act as the first point of contact for
      incoming fundraising event enquiries and activities.

    • Provide administrative support to the critical fundraising team, which undertakes a variety of
      fundraising campaigns and activities annually.

    • Ensure that our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database (Champ) is kept up-to-
      date, accurate, and compliant with data regulations regarding all fundraised income and
      donor data.

    • Keeping donor database up to date with data from activities on online platforms such as
      iDonate, Facebook, and GoFundMe.

    • Be confident using social media and comfortable using search engine filters. Tracking
      fundraisers online and identifying sources of income.

    • Work with the Head of Fundraising and the Finance Administrator on donation imports and
      reconciliation.

    • Generate donor reports from our CRM as requested by management during or following
      campaign periods.

    • Acknowledging, tracking, and receipting funds, along with ‘Thank You’ letters and emails to
      our donors and fundraisers, is essential in this role.

    • Work with individual organisers and organisers of third-party events on our behalf, ensuring
      they comply with regulations and maximise their success in partnership with the Corporate
      Fundraising Officer and Community Fundraising Officer.

    • Distributing fundraising buckets and other assets, such as sponsorship forms, as appropriate
      and tracking and recalling these items.

    • Maintaining accurate stock controls and fundraising assets, keeping management appraised
      of stock levels, generating quotes, and ordering stock.

There will also be opportunities for further development of this role, with the potential for career
advancement within the organisation.

Gradually take ownership of campaigns and income lines, growing a fundraising portfolio
within the fundraising team.

Attend fundraising events or cheque presentations as a charity representative, which may fall
outside of regular office hours.
